INTRODUCTION

Education is the heart & soul of Human civilization. Education without library services is like a body without a soul, a vehicle without an engine. Library plays an important role in the development of an academic institute.

MISSION

To provide the student & staff community of the college rich & relevant information sources to support their learning, teaching & research activities in the light of College mission.

LIBRARY WORKING HOURS

During Working Days:8 am to 2:30 pm
During holidays:Closed
Before Exam:8 am to 4:30 pm
During Exam:8 am to 5:30 pm
During Vacation:As per office timings

MEMBERSHIP

The membership is open to all the bonafide students of the college & staff of the college. Alumni & visitors/outsiders are allowed to refer the library books on the prior permission from the higher authorities of the college.

COLLECTION

Keeping in mind the VISION, MISSION & OBJECTIVES of the college, library has built up the collection of the reading materials which caters to the various needs of the students & staff. Based on the recommendations of the staff, reading materials are acquired. Library collection includes Textbooks, Reference Books, Dictionaries, Encyclopedia, Hand Books, Atlases, Maps, Travel Guides, Career Guides, Periodicals, CDs & posters on various subjects like English, Economics, Geography, History, Sociology, Information Technology, Computer Science, Ecology, Environmental Science, Psychology, Personality Development, Commerce, Management, Accounting, Income Tax, Languages, Religion/ Philosophy, Sports, Fine Art, Books on Cookery, etc. A Bird’s View of the Library collection is:

BOOKS ARRANGEMENT

The library follows Dewey decimal classification system & AACR-II Rules for cataloguing of the books.

CIRCULATION

Students are issued 2 Borrowers cards & cards are valid for that particular academic year. One book issued on each card for the period of 7 days & the book can be renewed if it is not in demand. If the book is not issued on or before the due date, the borrower has to pay Re. 1/- per day.

N-LIST

College library has registered for the N-LIST program.
